403b (Like a 401(k), but for non-profits)
As an IHOPKC staff member, if you've been on staff for 6 months or longer, you are eligible to start contributing to a 403b retirement savings account. The 403b plan is a tax-advantaged retirement savings plan for those who work in the non-profit world, like yourself.
Here's the good news!
IHOPKC has elected to include a discretionary match in a 403b plan. Check out the Retirement portion of our Benefits website to learn more. For help follow the process below to navigate the website.
IHOPKC 403b Retirement Navigation
1. Go to IHOPKC Benefits - Retirement Plan tab
2. Read about this savings plan under "Retirement Plan"
3. Click on "Employer Match" under the Retirement Plan tab
This explains how IHOPKC will match your contributions up to 50% of what you put in.

4. Read how the matching plan works
5. Use the matching tool to figure out how much of a match you are eligible for
6. Next to "Your Expected Annual Salary" list your expected yearly income amount
7. Next to "Years of Service" type in the number of years you've been on staff
On the right side you'll see the amount you may be eligible for
8. To ENROLL in the 403b Plan click on "Enroll" under the "Retirement Plan" tab
9. Click on "CLICK HERE TO START ENROLLMENT NOW"
10. Go to vanguard.com/register
Follow the prompts.
