If a staff member on your team needs to exit IHOPKC staff (not just transition to a different departmentfor whatever reason, including dismissal or a transition to Prayer Room Team, please complete the following staff exit process:


By 1-2 weeks before exit date:

  • Email HR the following information:
    • Their exit date (the last date of work with IHOPKC)
    • Their reason for exiting staff
  • Fill out this form: Supervisor Review of Exiting Staff 
  • Have your staff member fill out this form: IHOPKC Staff Exit Form 
  • If your staff member is transitioning to the Prayer Room Team (12 prayer room hours, no service hours), remind them to submit a new Sacred Trust one-two weeks prior to their last date of work in your department.


By exit date:

  • Conduct an interview with them
  • Have them return any IHOPKC keys to HR
  • Collect any other IHOPKC property entrusted to them
  • Inform IT, if applicable
  • If they were a supervisor, let HR know who the new supervisor should be for each of their direct reports


It is essential that HR be informed of the staff member’s official exit date, as it directly affects the staff member’s insurance benefits and payroll account, etc. Again, please note that this process does NOT apply to staff members who are simply transferring departments. This is only for staff members who are discontinuing full/part-time employment at IHOPKC.
